(Summary of President’s Speech at Oregon deligates meeting 2008)       1. Role of KADA       He pointed out the structural relationship with regional organizations of KADA. He stated that KADA is not hierarchically related with regional KADAs. Like the UN (United Nations), KADA is an organization of delegates from different regions. KADA stands alongside each of the regional associations, not above them. This would enable KADA to act as a bond for the regional associations. KADA can act as a bridge for communication among the members throughout the USA. Secondly, the size of the region does not limit opportunity in KADA, presidency can be held by any member of any region.       2. KADA as a forum for regional associations       As the first step to reforming KADA, a new website www.ikada.org was created. The forum, as a community of regional associations, will play as a two-way communication tool. All registered members will be able to participate in various form of media such as writing, photos, and videos, etc. One may display academic journals and exchange ideas and other information through this feature.       Semi annual delegate meeting will be held in different regions. Annual academic meetings will also be considered and encouraged to further establish KADA in the USA.       The Newsletters will now be available online in order to raise efficiency and economy.       Membership fees will no longer be required unless there are extenuating ....more
